Artemis in the City's Festive Black-Eyed Peas and other recipes were featured in the news media to help people welcome in the new year with good health, luck and prosperity.

The article titled "A New Year's Feast", highlights traditional southern New Year's Day recipes, but with a healthy twist, and their symbolic meaning. Festive Black-Eyed Peas Bring Good Luck in 2012!

Black-eyed peas are not just any ol' cow pea to southern folk. Black-eyed peas symbolize survival, health, prosperity and are thought to bring good luck. It is tradition for people living in the south to eat black-eyed peas each year on New Year's Day. Most southerners make sure to eat their black-eyed peas along with some leafy greens at the stroke of midnight or sometime on New Year's Day to avoid having bad luck and to obtain wealth and prosperity during the coming year.

LONGVIEW, TX December 19, 2011 – Beginning January 2012, Artemis in the City, LLC, will launch a new holistic health and nutrition workshop series in East Texas titled “Food for the Untamed Soul” Nutrition, Self-Healing & Lifestyle Plan for Everyone!
